New Year, New Website!

Happy New Year! It’s a great time to set new goals – and whether your plans for 2018 include writing a novel, getting back in shape, or finally taking that dream trip to Spain, I wish you the best of luck. Go out there and get ’em.

And what’s new in 2018 for me, you ask? For starters, a brand new website (big thanks to photographer Jason Brawn and my incredibly patient part-time web designer/ full-time significant other, who has not divorced me even ONCE during this process). Take a look and feel free to let me know what you think of the new design!

Speaking of new stuff in the new year – I’m also trying to do a bit of technological housecleaning. I know a number of y’all use Spotify as your preferred listening method, so I finally got myself all verified and official and what not with those folks. You can follow me on Spotify here if you’re so inclined.

While I know it’s only January, I’m already gearing up for summer touring, which for me will actually start in the spring this year (in April, to be exact). I’ll be spending the next few months here in Milwaukee working on new tunes – a couple from Bad Decision that weren’t on my set list last tour, and some surprises as well (I like to keep you on your toes).

If you live in the Milwaukee area, you can catch me several times a month in the Monarch Lounge at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center – I’ll be continuing my residency there through mid-May (see my tour calendar for details). If you’re elsewhere – not to worry. I’ll be driving all over the USA this summer, playing in venues ranging from festivals and clubs to your best friend’s backyard (which reminds me – for those of you interested in having me play a house concert for you and your friends sometime this summer, stay tuned. I’ll be sending out more information on that in the February newsletter).

On a personal note – I finally took some long-overdue time off in January. Some of that was spent in Colorado hitting the slopes. High point: surviving my first legit big-mountain black diamond run.

…and some of it was spent in the Yucatán region of Mexico. High points: Snorkeling with sea turtles and cave diving in this cenote. Also, warm weather. Big plus.

Stay warm y’all, and here’s to a wonderful 2018 for you and yours.

-Roxi
