April Newsletter
Spring Greetings to my favorite people (that’s you!) and welcome to all the new fan list people that just signed up on the March tour – I’m glad you’re here. First and foremost: a huge THANK YOU to all those who came out to a show while I was on tour; it was so great to see old friends and make new ones! While we’re on the thank-you vibe: unending thanks to all those friends and fans who let me crash w/ them: Becca in Minneapolis, Alyssa in Madison, Alex in Chicago, Jay & Erin in KC, Jen in Columbus…it’s way more fun to stay w/ friends than to stay in a hotel (and cheaper, too!) so- thanks.
Now that the Spring tour is over, I’m working hard on bookings for the summer, and starting to plan a month-long fall tour that will hopefully bring me back around to all the cities I visited in March, as well as add in some new ones – hooray!
As far as April goes – I’m really bad at taking time off, so for my ‘light’ month of April I still have some great shows planned for all you Iowa fans. Check out the links to the right for details.
A favor…
So as many of you know, I just released a brand new album in March, titled ‘Black Out the Blue’. The fabulous news is that it is now available on Itunes! The favor is that now I need people to write a few reviews about it, and I’m offering incentive: I have some very nifty signed posters left over from the tour (both the dual ones feat. Shannon Curtis and I as well as my individual CD release party posters). Here’s the cool part – you write a little review for the new album on Itunes (it takes about 2 minutes) and drop a line telling me you did (that includes your mailing address) and I’ll send you a signed poster, whichever one you prefer. It’s that easy. Cool, huh?
I think that’s all I’ve got for now, will let you know more about summer shows in the May newsletter. Thanks again to everyone who helped out/came to a show on the Spring tour – I am constantly reminded that I have the best fans in the entire world, and it is a privilege to keep playing music for you!
Cheers,
-Roxi
